Guideline for having your personal affairs in order.

Planning a mission trip or any travel?

1) Key papers for both spouses (wills, living wills, durable powers of attorney)                                           
2) Copies of all insurance policies and contact information (life, home, auto, liability, boat, medical, maybe credit card related ins., etc.)                                                                                                                                          3) Copies of all outstanding loan documents                                                                            
4) Lists of key assets and estimated values (updated estimated financial statement)                                     
5) Lists of all accounts (checking, savings, brokerage, including contact information, web addresses, user ID’s, passwords, location of historical statements)
6SocialSecurity information                                                                                                         
7) Lists of all credit, debit and ATM cards with pin numbers                                                                                              
8) Locations of, numbers of, and keys to lock boxes (and insure joint access cards are perfected)                                   
9)  Web addresses, User ID’s, and passwords to email accounts                                                                                         
10)  Check all coverage’s with insurance companies (for example, auto out of country, rental cars, accidental death location restrictions, etc.)                                                                                                                                          11) Historical information (last 7 years tax returns), any IRS claims/challanges                                                                   
12)   Copies of all legal documents (Real Estate Deeds, Closing statements, cost basis, title insurance policies, appraisals) 1

14)   Complete list of all primary contact information (children, relatives, key friends, church, employer). Especially true of cell phone numbers                                                                                                                                   15)   Insure all insurance coverages are sufficient for surviving spouse and children to maintain their lifestyle                    
16) Deed for your home and all real estate should read, SOLE SURVIVORSHIP.  (this will make sure the home goes to your spouse in case of death). PLEASE DON'T STOP GOING ON MISSION TRIPS JUST BE MORE PREPARED AND HAVE YOUR AFFAIRS IN ORDER!
